A LITTLE BIT OF THE JOURNEY
Some of Nancy’s earliest memories are of singing in the bathroom mirror using her hairbrush as her microphone to sing to her “audience”. Nancy had her first concert at four years of age and from there the doors of opportunity blew open. Even at a young age Nancy’s voice startled people with its resonance and range.
By the time Nancy was a teenager she was singing anywhere and everywhere she could draw a crowd. She could always be found participating in local talent competitions, media events, singing the national anthem, opening for arenas, revivals and dramatic productions. Later Nancy was a soloist with international choirs, churches, camp meetings, ministries for women, children and seniors, as well as weddings, funerals and baptisms. If there was a microphone Nancy wasn’t far away! She sang on the local live radio, performed at churches and through the encouragement of prominent mentors and fellow musicians began to pursue a serious career in Gospel and Christian music.
